Heavy Equipment Fitter (x2)

Moran Engineering and Electrical Ltd is seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Fitters to support our growing engineering and construction operations across Papua New Guinea.

This role is suited to trade-qualified or highly experienced mechanical professionals with strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance capabilities for heavy equipment, plant, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair heavy equipment, machinery, and mobile plant.
• Carry out routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and component replacement.
• Identify mechanical faults and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Ensure equipment remains reliable, safe, and operational to support project activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with supervisors and site teams to support ongoing project and operational needs.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards.

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Equipment Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience working with heavy machinery, plant, or construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and reliability.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work on project sites across PNG.
